+# How to create a backup disk (for `soispha.services.backup`)
+## Find the disk
+```bash
+lsblk -o "NAME,MAJ:MIN,RM,SIZE,RO,FSTYPE,MOUNTPOINT,UUID"
+# or
+sudo fdisk -l
+```
+
+## Check it
+```bash
+sudo smartctl --test=short /dev/disk
+# or better:
+sudo smartctl --test=long /dev/disk
+
+# Run this to avoid a test timeout (otherwise the disk might go to sleep):
+sudo watch --differences --interval 60 smartctl --log=selftest /dev/disk
+```

+## Add it
+```
+sudo mkfs.btrfs /dev/disk --label backup
+```
+And change the `backupUuid` to the uuid of the new disk.
